Background

Incorporated in 1958, Seaboard Industrial Supply Company Limited is a 100% locally owned company providing reliable, efficient and professional service for over 60 years predominantly mining and steel industries as well as construction, fishing, forestry, government agencies and the general public.

Over the years, there have been significant changes in the coal industry with the closure of the Cape Breton Development Corporation.

Recognizing the need to expand its customer base, Seaboard began to explore opportunities in other industries.

Our building has over 20,000 square feet housing showroom and warehouse.

Transition to Seaboard timbermart

In the third quarter of 2024, Seaboard Industrial Supply Company Limited changed its name to Seaboard Timber Mart, marking an important turning point in the company’s history. This change in approach signaled the beginning of a new phase of development and growth as the business entered the market for construction and lumber products, as well as gas-powered machinery.
The company’s operations and product offerings underwent a complete overhaul when it changed its name to Seaboard Timber Mart. By making large investments in real estate, building upgrades, technology, and personnel, Seaboard Timber Mart has established itself as a hub and destination in the sector.
